Our teachers are experts in their fields. In recognizing the institutions of a different education system
will improve our perspective. Our foreign language proficiency will increase further and we will have
the opportunity to improve ourselves. With Erasmus, we will have the opportunity to get to know the
innovations and opportunities in our country and to spread them in our country. We will have the
opportunity to develop schools in the whole city with the works to expand the project after the arrival.
The perspective of our teachers will be expanded by developing different teaching strategies that will
enable students to add more effects to the process. The Erasmus project will make great
contributions to the professional development of our school staff and the approach to the students. It
will open up the communication horizons that will be established with teachers and students from
different cultures, and there will be a new perspective and light in the education of our students. The
experiences and new knowledge they will gain in this project will create excitement for new projects
for both the school and their professional fields for the coming years. They will continue their
education more succinctly and more willingly. Thanks to the project, a sustainable education model
will be built as our teachers, who will increase their knowledge and experience, will have the
opportunity to transfer their knowledge and experiences to the new students. In addition, the
acceptance of the project will be a strong motivation for all our teachers and will further increase the
prestige of our school among other institutions

teachers. Lessons start at 8:15 and end at 1:15. There is an optional programme for homework
preparation and other activities until 16:00. The subjects taught are: Greek Language, Maths,
History, Environmental studies, Science, Religious education, Geography, Physical education,
English, Art, Drama, Music, ICT and at the 5th grade the students have to attend a second foreign

culture and tradition as our students are aware of the importance of cultural heritage and tradition.
We think that such a project will be a strong motivation for them to learn about other cultures,
traditions, customs and habits in an interesting way.We want them to exchange knowledge, ideas
and opinions with children that come from a different cultural background, discover differerences and
similarities with their own way of thinking and living and learn to respect diversity. We believe that
such a project will help both students and teachers to be more open-minded and it will broaden their
horizons. The key people in charge of running the specific project will be the following: Mrs.
Evangelia Kostazou-Headmistress, Mrs. Kontogianni Maria-teacher,Mrs. Kostaki Elisavet-English
teacher (conduct person) and Mrs. Lavida Maria-Physical Education teacher and assistant
headteacher. In case of any of these persons withdrawal from the project the following teachers will
take their place:Mr.Giannopapas Christos, Mrs. Katsanou Vassiliki, Mrs. Agga Vikentia, Mrs. Politaki
Stella, Mrs. Tsaprazi Georgia (Music teacher) and Mrs. Mavropoulou Maria (French teacher). All
these teachers are members of the permanent staff of our school and they will not leave their post
except for the case of a serious problem. As far as our experience in such a project is concerned, we
must say that we are new in the field. We haven’t participated in an Erasmus+ project before
although we have attented seminars about it and know how it works in general. We have, however,
previous experience in e-twinning projects related to such topics and we have participated in
numerous national and local projects about culture, tradition, diversity, environment etc. Our school is
open to new experiences and challenges and for that reason we have taken part in various innovative
projects. We have collaborated with European and national organisations such as WWF, ActionAid
and Helmepa. We have been given a praise by the European School Radio for our students’ radio
programmes emmited by the local radio station “Alithia TV and Radio”. Our school is also a member
